1. Website owner

This information is published under article 10 of Spanish Law 34/2002, of 11 July, on information society services and electronic commerce:

2. Status as an insurance intermediary

Italica is an independent insurance brokerage. It acts as an insurance broker, not as the agent of an insurance company, and carries no risk of its own. The risk sits with the insurer that issues the policy.

Insurance distribution in Spain is governed by Royal Decree-Law 3/2020, of 4 February. As a broker, the owner advises on the basis of an objective analysis of a sufficient number of insurance contracts available on the market, and tells the client what the recommendation rests on.

Registration in the register of insurance distributors held by the Spanish insurance supervisor, the Dirección General de Seguros y Fondos de Pensiones (DGSFP), is pending. Until the application is granted, the owner does not act as a registered insurance broker, and nothing on this site is an offer of brokerage services. Once granted, the registration number will be [Nº DE INSCRIPCIÓN EN EL REGISTRO DE LA DGSFP]. You can check it in the DGSFP public register: www.dgsfp.mineco.gob.es.

The owner is based in Spain and plans to operate in other European Union member states, under freedom of services or freedom of establishment, after notifying the DGSFP.

3. Purpose and terms of use

This site publishes commercial information about the brokerage and its services. Access is free and open.

You agree to use the site in line with the law and with this notice. You may not alter its content, disrupt how it works, or reach parts of it that are not public.

The owner may change or withdraw the content and structure of the site, and may suspend access for technical or maintenance reasons.

4. Intellectual and industrial property

The text, design, code and navigation structure of this site belong to the owner. The images are generated and show no real people, offices or clients. This content is protected by Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/1996, of 12 April, which approves the consolidated text of the Intellectual Property Act.

The Italica name, logo and other distinctive signs shown on the site belong to the owner. They may not be used outside this site.

You may read and print the content for personal use. Any other reproduction, distribution or adaptation needs prior written permission, which you can request at hello@italicainsurance.com.

5. Disclaimer

The information here is general. It is not binding advice, a personal recommendation, or a contractual offer. No description of cover published on this site creates any right against an insurer.

Cover, limits, exclusions and premiums are set by the policy itself, through its general and specific conditions and the pre-contractual documents handed over before you buy. If this site and the policy disagree, the policy prevails.

The owner reviews the content, without warranting that it is free of errors or up to date at all times. The site runs on Cloudflare infrastructure. The owner does not guarantee continuous availability and is not liable for damage caused by technical failures outside its control, so far as the law allows.

6. Third-party links

This site links to third-party pages, such as the DGSFP public register. The owner does not control those pages and is not responsible for their content, their availability or their privacy practices. You visit them at your own risk.

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google servers when a page opens.

7. Data protection and cookies

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

Spanish law governs this legal notice.

If you are acting as a consumer, the competent courts are those set by the applicable consumer rules, which usually point to the courts where the consumer lives. In all other cases, the parties submit to the courts of the owner's registered office.
